The desired therapy setting is a caring environment that allows genuine sharing and exploration with active participation from the therapist.

The patient has the opportunity to explore current life difficulties and examine them in a new perspective.  Sometimes we look back at early life relationships and see how they influence present day feelings, thoughts, and actions.

With couples, Sheila is able to enhance communication skills resolving the “push-pull” that creates distance and conflict. She calmly helps her patients face challenges with compassion and a nurturing sense of humor.

The honor of traveling the intimate road of discovery and growth with her patients has made this work a lifetime labor of love for Sheila.
